Do you classify yourself as an Entertainer or a D.J.?
Well, first of all, a D.J. is a "disc Jockey". Their responsibilities are limited and have a very minimal amount of interaction with the crowd, considering the D.J.'s main job is strictly technical. He or she stands behind the equipment, and switches c.d.'s and monitors the settings like the volume, bass, etc. They have the very important job of keeping the music running constantly, and smoothly, but this is not at all what my job entails. The fact that I am an "Entertainer" means I have a lot more responsibilities, but it is also much more rewarding to me. I get a great deal of satisfaction every time I run a successful event. I love being around people and being given the chance to make sure everyone has the time of their lives, which results in amazing and unforgettable events, both for the bride and groom, and the entire party. As an entertainer, I think about the event for countless hours even before I ever get to the venue or set up my equipment, I think about the wonderful couple that is getting married and work out a plan that will suit their combined personalities perfectly. I have all of these details on my mind and I try and enhance the environment as the night progresses. My favorite thing about being an M.C. is being able to use my talents to make people smile and have a good time on the most special day of their lives. This is what makes my job so enjoyable to me, and it never gets old.

What aspect of the wedding industry interests you?
Like I said before, I can't possibly think of any other occupation that is as personally rewarding as entertaining a wedding party. What other kind of job can you get paid to listen and dance to music, and do whatever is possible to make people have a wonderful, unforgettable evening? It is my responsibility to set the environment and make sure people feel comfortable at the party. I think it is great to see people at a party letting loose, forgetting their worries, and singing and dancing, all for one reason; to help a couple of their friends celebrate the happiest day of their lives. This brings a smile to my face, as well as everyone at the event. Making the newly married couple happy and showing them a night they will NEVER forget, is something I enjoy and thrive on, and the fact that no two weddings are alike, makes it never boring for me.

How do you feel about being a major part of the biggest day of people's lives?
To me, one of the most important aspects of my personality is being able to make people smile, as well as working well under pressure. I will admit, it is sometimes stressful preparing for a wedding, but once the music starts, all that stress is forgotten. When I do a wedding, I put my heart into everything I do at the wedding, just like I would do for a member of my family or one of my best friends. The fact that the couple is going to remember the night forever gives me the incentive to do my very best and go far beyond what most other entertainment companies would even consider. By the day of the wedding, I will have gotten to know the two wonderful people who are getting married, and everything I do that evening will be something I customize to fit their unique personalities, and that always makes people happy. Being a part of the "Big Day" makes me feel important, and I get a great feeling when the party is over because I know 20, 30, or 40 years from now that couple is going to remember what a wonderful time they had, and I will be a big part of that memory.

How do you feel catering to the client effects the overall success of an event?
Personally, I think it would be ridiculous to the same sort of "schedule" or set of "guidelines" that could be used for every wedding, no matter who the couple is. But believe it or not, this is what some entertainers do. To me, I understand that no two couples are exactly alike, and therefore no two weddings should ever be exactly alike. We meet with clients multiple times before the actual event, and the last time we do so is called the "Creativity Session". During our last time together before your wedding, I take the initiative to personalize every part of the evening. To do this, I can suggest different ideas that I think will be perfect for you, and also talk to you about any suggestions you might have that can help me make a plan for the special night. At imagine entertainment, we specialize in "Using your ideas and our experience to help create the breakthrough event of your dreams"

Why should any client choose you to be there D.J. entertainer at any event?
This is hard for me to answer without actually meeting the couple who's party it is going to be. I have a lot of great experience with music and with entertaining, but the most important thing is that I really understand what clients want. They want the perfect night, and to do this, everything has to fit their personalities. So why should a client choose me to be their entertainer? The only way for me to correctly answer this would be to meet you so I can see which of my traits will best fit your "Big Day". Certain people want different things, and everything that I do is going to be unique to the couple. One thing I can promise, you will never be disappointed, and you will never forget how special your wedding was.
